The Union Government has launched Sampann (system for accounting and management of pension), a pension management software to aid and assist retirees of the telecom department. The move will benefit over 500,000 pensioners, helping them track their pension from the comfort of their homes.  

A seamless system, Sampann will bring processing, sanctioning, authorisation and payment of pension under a single roof. It will help the user track and manage their pension online, and register for grievance redressal online in case of discrepancy. Under the scheme, pension and arrears will be directly credited to the linked bank account and SMS alert will be sent to the registered mobile number.

With the processing of pension and grievance redressal going online, pensioners can now look forward to a faster, convenient and hassle-free experience.
